The war has been cut dead
Effortlessly brought to a scarlet halt
The automatons, programmed for slaughter
Erased the malleable humans
With their empty metal pets, couldn’t oppose the genuine armour
The robot army roamed the world in triumph
Proud of their achievement
Basking in the light that was once so dull
No more self-destructive organ transports
To destroy each other
To destroy their own world
To be observed for sport
To bet on, to entertain, to delight like clueless jesters
A wave of doubt crashes over the new leaders of earth
What if they made the wrong decision, who will they watch for fun?
No more mindless flesh vessels to kick around
A sad say for the mechanical overlords, their supreme acumen becomes their slaughter of elysium

This album being played over the PA system at the museum where Salvador Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" is housed is what caused the faces of the clocks in the painting to melt. meeko

A sonic onslaught, this debut is a winding, complex monster of metallic Prog and Mathy Metal. The incredible accuracy in pulling of daredevil time signatures is all under-pinned by melody and catchy hooks. Take,’ Swagger’, like a Djent band stuck in the studio and vying for control with a particularly raucous version of Lightning Bolt – the precision is jaw-dropping. Elsewhere, I get hints of ‘Power to Believe’ era King Crimson. Fitting, as Serious Beak is a true 21st century schizoid band. Logen Ninefingers
